Max’s practice spans multiple art forms, creations tend towards the extreme. Her use of unusual materials such as blood or jellyfish carcasses reveal her ideological and physical manifestations of pain and trauma. The process of self-inquiry are repeated obsessively in her art create the foundations for brutal and exposed works, supports the narrative she wishes to convey.

She specialise in BioArt (BioArt is art that literally works in the continuum of biomaterials, from DNA, proteins, and cells to full organisms. BioArt manipulates, modifies or creates life and living processes.), which aims to enrich our understanding of what it means to be Alive.
